The Quiet Field

An Outdoor Yoga Nidra Journey into Deep Rest

Beneath the Trees of Hackney Marshes

Next session - Saturday 27 June 2026

There is a quiet shift happening — towards slower, more restorative ways of living, where the nervous system can settle and the body can rest more deeply.

The Quiet Field is an invitation to step into stillness, held by nature and guided rest.

A space to step out of constant doing and return to yourself through the intelligence of rest - and the quiet remembering of your place within nature.

A space in nature

Held in nature, beneath open skies and surrounded by trees, birdsong, and natural rhythms, this is a space to pause, soften, and land.

Being outdoors, the body begins to settle in its own way - reconnecting with slower rhythms, softer awareness and a more instinctive, grounded sense of self.

Here, we’ll begin with gentle breathwork and you are invited to lie down, rest, and be gently guided into Yoga Nidra — a deeply restorative practice of conscious rest.

What this supports

  • nervous system settling

  • deep physical and mental rest

  • release of accumulated tension

  • a felt sense of ease and spaciousness

  • reconnection with yourself as nature

  • improved sleep

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative practice of guided rest.

It offers a space where the body can soften, the nervous system can settle, and the mind can move out of constant activity into deeper states of rest.

Practiced outdoors, this rest is held not only by guidance, but by nature herself - supporting a gentle return to something more natural, instinctive and whole.

There is nothing to achieve or perform. You lie down, are guided, and allow the body to move out of doing and into deeper states of rest and regulation.

This is more than just Rest

Within Yoga Nidra, there is an invitation to work with Sankalpa- a simple, heartfelt intention held in deep rest.

Rather than something to strive towards, it is more like a seed planted in stillness, arising from a quieter place of inner knowing.

This is where we begin to meet change at the level of the body/the subconscious.

A gentle rewilding of body and being.

Reset. Restore. Renew.

You are warmly welcome to join.

A practice shaped by nature and place

For over 2 decades, I’ve been teaching yoga outdoors in Hackney, and there is something truly magical and precious about practising in the open air.

Nature brings us into presence — through birdsong, the sun, being surrounded by trees — inviting a different kind of attention that feels easeful and restorative.

There is a simplicity in being held by the living world while you rest and practise.

I hope to see you in The Quiet Field.
